Mistica's Haven About the Haven Members of the Haven My Pictures Fanfictions, galore Writer's Notes Between the Lines Reviews of a Dark Echidna My Favorite Places

So as I had been posting, I had been working on a minions based DM fanfiction, I feel that I'm far enough in writing it to start posting up the chapters here.  Probably what I will do is post up to three chapters and when a new chapter is posted, older chapters will be moved to the Graveyard.  Due to content and language, not only is this story given a high possible mature rating but also will not be posted on FF.net or DA, also I'm not in the mood to deal with anti-fans anyway and feel it's just safer to post up here.  Here's the first two chapters, so enjoy.

"And Misery Loves Company..."

 Chapter 3

“Well”, she asked, “So…where is this break room, is it down where they went?”

“Si, down in labs under house.” Stuart explained.

“Oh good, so how do you call the elevator?”  The four minions looked over towards the wall, “Minions go different way”, said Dave.

He walked over to the wall, pushed a panel on it which revealed an entrance down a long clear tube.  Misery walked over and stared into this seemingly dark abyss, “Down there?  How do you get down this thing, do you climb down or something?”

“No”, Dave explained, “Jump down, go through like slide.”

“How far down does this thing go?”  The minion thought about it for a few minutes but then shrugged, this didn’t make her feel any better.  These guys used this as normal means of transportation but they didn’t even know how far down it went?!

“Um, you know what, I’ll just take the elevator, okay?”

“But this way more fun!” Dave complained.

“Look, why don’t you guys go first so I can see how you do it, okay?”

The four minions did just that, first Kevin jumped in, then Jerry, Dave, and last but not least Stuart.  Misery was truly debating if this was even worth it, there was no way of telling how fast this tube would make her go.  Then suddenly she heard growling, she turned around to see a very angry and ugly dog.  Unfortunately, the family pet Kyle didn’t take well to strange things and now, she might not have a choice.

“Nice perrito, good boy.” She tried but this didn’t shift the dog’s mood.  As much as Misery was willing to trounce this mutt, she couldn’t blow the mission over some dumb dog.  Without hesitation, she jumped down the tube with the panel closing up behind her.  The four minions landed on the lab floor with ease but then suddenly they heard muffled screaming.  Then, right on cue, Misery came flying out of the tube, rolling onto the ground in a heap.  Kevin couldn’t help but burst out laughing as Stuart rushed to her side, grabbing her by the arm.  Angry, she yanked away from him, “I’m fine!!”  Getting up, she glared over at Kevin, the male minion only quieting down when he noticed her deadly stare.  He then cleared his throat but couldn’t hide the little smirk despite her mood.  He’s lucky I’m working or I’d really let him have it, she thought.

“Break room, this way.” Jerry motioned to her.

She followed the plump minion into what appeared to be more of a mess hall than a break room.  There were tables, games, all sorts of junk in here and certainly many more minions.  Jerry and the guys led her to what appeared to be a bar but as they walked, an eerie silence formed as all of the minions stared at Misery.  She knew that they were all male but they acted like they had never seen a woman before.  Then the whispering and the gossip started, Stuart didn’t mind though because he knew that the word would spread of how right he was.  Jerry decided to show her to their usual table and then he went to place their order.  She sat down with the other three minions sitting opposite of her, looking around to see that all eyes were on her.  You would think with the way humans could be, she’d be used to this but somehow it was just plain creepy when these guys did it.  Then Jerry came back with a huge bowl of ice cream, topped with all the fixings but especially a lot of bananas.

“Oh…uh, don’t you guys usually start with a main course or something?” she asked.

“That is main course”, Stuart remarked, “Banana split, most favorite minion treat.”

Misery couldn’t believe this, is this really what minions ate, a whole bunch of junk food?!  She then noticed how they were starting to drool, as much as she hated to be a bad guest, there was no way she was touching this stuff.  She pushed the bowl away, “Sorry, I had a big lunch so I’m not hungry right now.”  They were a little surprised, “Don’t like gelato”, Stuart asked.

“Uh, no, that’s not it…it’s just that I really don’t like bananas.”

“WHAT?!” the four minions screamed.  Kevin couldn’t believe it, “No like bananas?!”

“Well, sorry, I don’t, I mean the smell is just well a little much and personally they get all mushy and squishy and when they turn brown it’s just, ugh, they’re just gross.”

This was unheard of, inconceivable, there was no way they had heard her right.  A minion who didn’t like bananas just wasn’t a minion at all, there was no way that such a creature like that could exist?  Then suddenly little Bob came running up to Kevin, “Nefario needs help with the computer again.”

“Again, don’t tell me he got another virus on it.”  Bob shrugged, he didn’t know why the computer was acting up, just that it was.  “Sorry, have to go.” And with that, he left the table.

Misery watched as he rushed out, she needed to follow him and fast.  She handed the bowl of ice cream to the little minion with the bear, “Here, you can have this.”  The look on Bob’s face almost would make you think he had won the lottery or something.

“Thank you!!” he cheered.  Like a kid on Christmas morning, he ran off with his bear and the treat in tow.  Misery had darted around the corner and caught up to Kevin pretty quickly.  He shot her a confused look, “Don’t have to follow.”

“No offense but it’s getting late anyway so I have to find my master and go.  I just figured that chances are wherever you’re going, he’s probably going to be there…you are heading towards your master, right?”

“More or less.” He answered.

“Then there’s no shame in me following you, is there.”

“Fine, just don’t get in way.” He remarked.

“Don’t worry, I won’t!” she shot back.

The two minions then arrived to an actual laboratory, with Nefario apparently having a fight with the computer.  “Ah good, nice to see that Bob delivered the message in a promptly manner, darn thing is acting up again, Kevin.  I’m honestly starting to question if maybe it’s time for an upgrade.”  The tall minion just shook his head, knowing Nefario, the problem wasn’t as major as it seemed.  “What is the problem this time?”

“Well, I think I accidently locked myself out of the darn thing again, can you try to hack it for me and maybe it’ll start to cooperate.”

“Or maybe we should try a password that you can actually remember?”

“Joking aside, just get me in.”

The tall minion pulled up the keyboard and got to work, Misery was amazed to see that the minions weren’t entirely as dumb as she was starting to think.  Even Henry, who was standing beside Gru was impressed but within a few minutes, the minion had succeeded.  “There, you’re in, but seriously, change your password to something you can actually remember, please?”

“Thanks again Kevin still, if I was twenty years younger, remembering this darn thing would be a no brainer.  Sorry about that Henry, afraid that I’ve really got some things to take care of with this old bucket of bolts.”

“Actually, I think it’s time we get going though, got work to do myself but maybe tomorrow I could let Misery come back.  I’m sure your minions would love having another friend to hang out with.”  She shot him a look with him returning a glance back at her, she sighed, “Yes, it would be so much fun to get to know my fellow minions much more.”

***

Back at Henry’s place, Misery was furious, “I don’t think I can last another day with those talking jelly beans!  Do you know that these guys don’t even know how to use an elevator?!  I swear that they are going to be driving me completely loca!”

“Just calm down, I wouldn’t be sending you back if I was able to get the info myself!  While that old coot casually went over the process, the actual fine details he wouldn’t share with me.  All we need are the files that hold that info and we’ll never have to speak one word to them again!”

“Okay, and how do you suppose I get this info?”

“Well…there is one way and that may be through his minions or more specifically, one particular minion.”

“Which one, they are all annoying!”  Henry sighed, “I’m referring to his little computer genius.”

“Kevin”, she shrieked, “That jackass laughed at me just because I fell out of their stupid slide tube…things.  How do I get info from him, please tell me then!”

“Okay, remember those old spy movies we used to watch back before Kiba was born and…”  She turned away, “Oh no, I am not going to act like some lady of the night just to get info, that’s just not dignified, no, just no!”

“Misery, come on.  I’m not asking you to sleep with the guy, all I’m asking is for you to charm him, flatter him, just lead him on a bit so that way he’ll let his guard down and make it easier for us to obtain the info we need.”  Misery hated this idea but she nodded, as much as she hated it, obviously she had no choice this time.

***

Back in the break room, Kevin had his own announcement, it was clear that according to the minion gossip that a lot of them had their eye on Misery.  While Kevin could care less about her, he didn’t need a massive fight erupting over a girl.  Standing up on the bar, he called for everyone’s attention,  “Listen up, rumor has it that everybody knows about Missy coming back tomorrow and apparently some of the things I’ve heard in relation to how some of you feel about this…it’s a little inappropriate to say the least.  Since it’s clear that we all can’t have a shot at her, I have talked with the boss and we’ve both decided that no one will.”

A majority of the minions gasped, some were even disappointed.  “So anyone caught hitting on her, flirting, anything of that matter will get a warning and after that a write up.  We’re putting this rule in place to make it fair, understand?  That’s all I have to say so she is off limits to everybody, no exceptions!”

Dave started to whine, “Even to us, the first minions she’s talked to?”

“Yes Dave, even to us although no offense but she’s kind of pushy for my tastes anyway.”

“You’re just upset because she doesn’t like you”, Stuart remarked, “Of course, you laughing at her didn’t help!”

“Yeah, that wasn’t very nice.” Jerry mentioned.  Kevin sighed as he jumped down from the bar counter, “I’m sure she’s fine, I don’t take her as the type to cry herself to a bowl full of ice cream.”

“Ice cream?  Is she going to have more ice cream?” Bob asked.  Kevin looked over to Stuart, “She gave him the banana split”, he explained.  Well, Kevin thought, so she does have some soft edges after all.

“Sorry Bob, no ice cream, just letting everyone know that she’s not looking for a boyfriend.”  The young minion stuck out his tongue as a response, “Eww, why would anybody want to be with a girl like a girlfriend type of girl?  Yuck!”

Kevin just smiled, despite the years, Bob was still very much a kid and wasn’t quite to that stage yet.  Maybe for right now, that was for the best so at least that was one less minion he needed to keep an eye on.  Now that he really gave it some thought, he would probably have to babysit her, it was probably the only way to make sure that nobody bugged or bothered her at all if he was to keep the peace with this little rule in place.

Chapter 4

Misery was a little nervous, out of all the minions that she had to try and charm it had to be Kevin. It was clear that he wasn’t very amused by her so how was she going to pull this off? Looking at herself in the mirror, she needed to find some way to spruce herself up. She was in her usual black tight jumpsuit but even adding a few touches could easily be enough. The she-minion adjusted her hair a little, slightly pushed up her cleavage, even add a little more perfume. Darken the eyeliner, a dark red lipstick could maybe do the trick. Henry knocked on the bathroom door, “Misery, you decent?”

“Yeah, pretty much.” He opened the door to take a look at her, nodding in approval, “That should definitely get his attention.”

“Let’s hope so because the last thing I need is to hit on a guy who plays on the same team.”

***

The drive over to the Gru household seemed to last forever but in reality it was only around twenty minutes. “Now remember, find some way to get his guard down and see if maybe he’ll give you the info we need.” Then he pulled out of a box a gold bracelet, “The blue gem opens up, it’s a flash drive, Nica programmed it to automatically locate and download the files. After it’s finished, it will delete the original files, infect the computer and you then need to get out of there and fast. I’ll be waiting down the block about a house or two from the Gru household, just be careful.”

She nodded as she adjusted the bracelet around her wrist, then jumped out of the truck’s window. Once she approached the sidewalk, Henry drove off to wait for her about two houses down like he said. Misery walked her way up to the door, knocking as loudly as she could. Waiting a few minutes, a young girl with brown hair and glasses answered the door. “Hello, I’m here for a playdate with your minions?”

“You’re the one they’ve been talking about, come on in, most of them are down in the break room.” Misery followed the young girl only to see that there were two other girls in the living room as well. “I take it you three are daughters to Mr. and Mrs. Gru? I never realized that he had been married a long time?”

“Oh he hasn’t, my sisters and I are actually adopted and my father, Gru, has only been married about over a year now…the only ones who have lived here the longest with him are the minions.” Misery then remembered about the horrible experience in relation to the travel tubes yesterday, “Uh, is there any way we could just use the elevator, those tube things are a little much for me.”

“Sure thing, by the way I’m Margo, that’s my sister Edith and Agnes.” Then the minion watched as Margo hit a button on a large chair that looked like a rhino. The canon in the room was then pulled up and revealed underneath to be the elevator, the glass doors opened as Margo stepped inside and waved for Misery to follow. Once inside, the glass elevator shot downward but compared to the travel tubes yesterday, it was a much easier and smoother form of transportation. “So, where is your father and mother at right now?”

“Just running some errands, I’m keeping an eye on my sisters while they’re gone and of course, Dr. Nefario and the minions are here if we need anything. So, was there anyone in particular you wanted to hang out with?”

“Actually I was looking for that little minion Kevin.”

“Which one?” Misery looked at her confused, “What do you mean which one, there’s more than one Kevin?”

“Well sure, considering how many minions there are, you’re going to have some that share the same name.”

“Uh, he’s kind of a tall guy, little sprout hair, and…”

“Oh, I know who you mean, he’s working on some things in one of the other minion offices.”

“You mean he’s busy…oh sorry, I don’t want to disturb him if it’s too much trouble.”

“He won’t mind, besides he’s been putting in too many hours if you ask me. He definitely is overdue for a break.”

When the elevator arrived, Misery then noticed that apparently there were just as many minions down here and most were staring. The young girl led her towards the break room, ignoring all of the minions as they passed. Margo decided to invite Misery to sit down at an empty table, “I’ll go get him, be right back.” Misery sat down, this wasn’t so bad but then again it wasn’t until she had noticed that some of the minions were gazing at her. She decided that avoiding eye contact was her better option. Then suddenly a small minion brought over to her what appeared to be a root beer float. She eyed the drink strangely, “I didn’t order this.”

The minion pointed over to another table where a small group of minions sat, they waved and grinned in her direction. Sighing she pushed the drink away, “Please tell them I’m not interested and take this back, I don’t want to spoil my appetite.”

Shrugging, the minion did just that but then suddenly another minion, a chubby one plopped right next to her. He smirked and made it clear that he was interested in her, trying not to get angry, Misery sat up and walked away. As she made it across the break room, another minion suddenly got in her way, a two eyed one with combed hair and tried to push a bouquet of flowers in her face. “Sorry, I’m allergic!” she snapped as she pushed past him. It looked like she would have better luck finding Kevin on her own, it was clear that none of these other minions were going to leave her alone otherwise. As she kept walking, she then passed down a hallway where she saw two coke machines and a snack machine. On second thought, she was a little thirsty so she looked to see if maybe the machines sold any water. Just her luck, one of them did and so she pulled out her wallet from the inside of her bra and pulled out a dollar. She fed it into the machine, expecting it to accept it but then the machine made a strange beep and the dollar came back out. The minion grabbed it and tried again to which once more the machine spit it back out.

“Take it.” She demanded.

Once again, the machine spit it out which was really starting to frustrate her. If she had another dollar she would use that but she had fives and there was no way she was putting in a five just to get back four dollars in quarters. She tried her best to flatten out the bill, the machine still wouldn’t take it. She tried again and again although she was so focused on the machine that she didn’t even notice that another minion entered the little room.

“Having trouble?” he asked. Misery was surprised by him, where in the world did he come from?

“No, I’m just fine, the machine just doesn’t like my dollar, that’s all.” The strange minion was leaning against the neighboring machine, watching her with a smug look on his face. “Do you want something?” she asked.

“No, could help you if Missy want Carl to.”

“What, you’ll trade me a dollar then?”

“Sure”, he answered, “But Carl want one thing.” Misery really didn’t like where this was going, “And what is that?”

The minion made a motion with his lips, he wanted a kiss from her, “Yeah right, forget it, I’ll try my luck with the machine! Lay off creep!” The minion didn’t like her answer and without warning, he slammed himself against her, pinning her to the machine. “Get the freak off of me!”

“Carl want to play a game and tag, you’re it!”

If Misery wasn’t in such a bad spot right now, taking care of this clown would be easy. Then she had noticed that he was groping her but then suddenly she felt him move away, seeing that Kevin had pulled the minion off and threw him against the opposite wall. The minion had slowly gotten back up, only to have a very nervous look on his face now.

“Kevin, hey…she just needed a little help with the machine and-.”

“I’m sure she did! What did I announce yesterday and out of everyone, did you really think that I wouldn’t find out what stunt you were trying to pull!”

“But Kevin, I-!”

“But nothing, when the boss gets back from his mission, what you tried to do will be the first thing I’m telling him, now get lost!”

Misery watched as the minion immediately ran out of the room and down the hall. “Margo told Missy to stay at table, why Missy leave?”

“I left because the rest of those hombres wouldn’t leave me alone, I came over here to get a bottled water until that creep showed up! Believe me, him doing that to me is definitely not what I wanted to happen!”

“Fine, come, will stay with me in office.”

Misery followed him down the hall going the opposite direction until they had arrived at a small office that appeared to be one of many actually. Inside, was just a small desk with a laptop which she could determine to be Kevin’s. “Will finish in a bit, when done maybe can find something fun to do.” He explained.

Misery walked around, there wasn’t much to it although she did notice that he had relics of all kinds, maybe he traveled a lot. Then she also noticed that he had a little statue of a man golfing, clearly he was into sports. Maybe even played the game but how could he considering how short minions were, did he have to stand on a step stool to play? Misery tried to imagine the minion dressing up like a Tiger woods and attempting to play the game. It almost seemed too funny to imagine let alone be reality. Kevin looked up, noticing how she was looking at his knick knacks. “So…why you want to hang with me?” he asked her.

“Why not? Is that a problem?”

“No but had impression that Missy not like Kevin.”

Wow, she thought, I guess it was too obvious from how yesterday went. “Well, you see, I guess you could say that somehow you made quite the impression upon me.”

She walked over to the desk, the metal claws of her gloves lightly grazing the wood, barely scraping against them. He eyed her strangely, it wasn’t until he noticed that she was done up a little more than she was yesterday.

“What kind of impression?” he asked. She walked around the back of the chair, slightly scrapping her claws once again. “Well, I guess being the first female, I never thought I would ever meet another male minion but then I meet you and that changes everything for me.”

Kevin hated to say it but something about her made him nervous, he turned his eyes back to the computer screen. She could tell that he was trying to ignore her so she then sat upon the arm of the chair. She rubbed his arm playfully, “Kevin, isn’t there times when you just get tired hanging around that sea of testosterone all day? Don’t you ever have needs that you want…how would one put it…fulfilled?”

The tall minion gulped, this was definitely not what he was expecting, especially not from her. Misery jumped down and purposefully turned the chair so that now they were facing each other, she even wrapped her arms around his neck as well. “Let’s face it, I’ve been pretty lonely and I’m sure to some degree, so are you. All I want is to know how it feels having my first time and what better way to have that than with another of my kind.”

“Missy, don’t think that good idea! Not what Kevin had in mind!”

“I’m sure it’s not but don’t you think that’s a lot more fun than just eating junk food or playing videogames or something like that?”

“Listen, should think about this first before-.”

“You honestly want to think about this,” she cut him off, “I’m more of a straight to the point type of girl besides it’s not like I’m going to tell, it’ll be a little dirty secret if you want.”

Kevin tried to stand up but she blocked him, pulling his face close to hers, “Please Kevin, I promise that I’ll be a good girl for you. I’ll do anything you want, I’m open to all kinds of things.” She traced her hand down to his crotch, “Even that if you’re into it, so what do you say, you game?”

The minion was entirely speechless and, as much as he hated to admit it, a little tempted to take her up on her offer. Then suddenly a cough could be heard as the two looked over to see Stuart, standing in the doorway with a very mad look on his face.

Chapter 5

“Stuart!” Kevin screamed. The tall minion realized how this looked and immediately pulled Misery’s arms off of him. “Well, you said she was off limits but then again, that doesn’t apply to you right?”

“Stuart, I wasn’t doing anything, heck, she was coming onto me, I swear!!”

Misery could tell by the tone of their arguing that they would be busy for a while, “I’m sorry, did I do something wrong?”

Kevin shook his head no and motioned for Stuart and him to step outside the office, even though she didn’t understand them he didn’t want to argue in front of her. Once they were outside, she set to work upon his laptop using the hidden flash drive. The scan only took a few seconds but then popped up nothing in relation to the minion cloning. What, but how is that possible unless only that darn doctor has it, she thought. Luckily she remembered where the doctor’s computer was located and figured it was her best bet. Stepping outside, “I’m sorry but I need to use the little girl’s room, I guess I’ll see you guys in a bit.”

Once she walked away, she could tell that once again the two started arguing. Making her way towards the lab, she then found it strangely deserted but no matter. She walked over to the computer, revealed the hidden flash drive but couldn’t find where to plug it in. Looking underneath the top of the console, she then noticed that the ports were down near the plugs. Plugging it in, she accessed the flash drive and began to scan the files. Sure enough, the data was here and plenty of it which the program immediately began downloading. The flash drive took about five minutes to download the files, delete the originals and finally send the virus into the system. She went to pull the flash drive out but then heard a hello, startled, she bumped her head.

“Ouch, you shouldn’t surprise people when they’re-.”

She then noticed that it was the little minion with the teddy bear, well this was unexpected.

“What Missy doing?” he asked.

“I…um, dropped my bracelet and was just picking it up. I just remembered, I had some very important errands to run today so if anyone asks, I had to go home, okay?”

She ran out of the room but then little Bob noticed that there was something else underneath the console. Picking up a pink leopard printed wallet, inside was a picture of Misery with some humans. He was going to call to her about it but she was already gone then suddenly the computer started making all kinds of noise as a large skull and cross bones flashed on the screen.

***

Misery was fortunate enough to find a travel tube that luckily landed her outside in front of the house and immediately dashed out of the yard and down the street. The blue pickup sped over to her, with her immediately climbing into the window. “Floor it!” she screamed.

“Do you have the data?” Henry asked.

“Yes, I have it, all of it, now hurry up! One of those jelly beans saw me and I don’t need to find out what happens next! Now drive!!”

The blue pickup sent a cloud of smoke as they raced down the street, speeding past a bright blue car on the way. Inside that car was none other than Gru and Lucy who had noticed the pickup speeding past them. “Sheesh, it’s only thirty pal!”

“Lucy, honey, it’s not like they can hear you.”

“Don’t tell me that you don’t do the same thing in your car.”

When they pulled up to the curb, immediately they were greeted by the girls. It was then that Gru saw Bob, one of his younger minions running up to him. “Boss, Nefario’s computer is acting really strange, it’s acting like a monster!” he exclaimed. Gru was shocked, “Go find Kevin for me, I’ll meet you guys down there.” The little minion saluted and quickly ran over to a travel tube to find the elder minion.

***

Once Henry got them home, Misery handed over the flash drive to him as he cheered their success. She then felt around the top of her suit, “Hey, where’s my wallet?”

“We’ll worry about that later, right now we better work on sending the files over to the base.”

“Says you, I had credit cards in there and I really don’t want to cancel them if I don’t have to!” Henry rushed inside, noticing that once again, Nica was posting some kind of blog online. “Nica, chat with your internet buddies later, I need to send these ASAP.”

“Just give me a few seconds and-.”

He pulled her out of the chair, “Sorry but this can’t wait! Trust me, you’ll thank me for this later.”

It was then that Kiba was walking around the corner from the kitchen, a beer in hand but he noticed that something was definitely different. Then Misery came walking in, he looked her up and down, “What happened, you had to start standing on street corners?”

“Kiba, honestly, how can you think your mother would stoop to something that low?” She scolded.

“Hey, there ain’t no rest for the wicked until we close our eyes for good.”

Nica rolled her eye, “Okay, what disgusting adult film did you hear that from?”

“For your information, it’s lyrics from a song, a damn good one but you’ve got a stick so far up your ass that you wouldn’t know that, would you?”

“Damn it”, Henry cursed, “Despite how kooky he is, that Nefario has these things encrypted.”

“Maybe I could give it a shot”, Nica suggested. Henry allowed the little minion to try her best but unfortunately it didn’t take long before she had an error message. “This doesn’t make sense, it’s almost like the method of encryption isn’t even a human method.”

“Okay, well, that’s fine, it’s fine, we’ll just contact Katie at the base, she’ll figure it out I’m sure. Go ahead and close up the file, I’ll take it to her in a bit.”

***

Kevin eventually found a way to delete the virus but there was no doubting that it had caused a lot more damage than it had intended. “Kevin, this virus can’t spread can it, after all, my computer and yours are linked to the same network.”

“I don’t think it did but it doesn’t hurt to check though.”

Gru left the room, allowing the minions to continue working while he went to check on his own personal matters. It was then that Kevin noticed that Bob was holding a strange pink leopard print wallet. “You bought yourself a wallet? Why did you pick that color?”

“I didn’t buy it, its Missy’s. She dropped it when I accidently scared her here in the lab.” Kevin froze, he wasn’t sure if he heard the young minion correctly. “Wait, did you just say that she was here in the lab?”

“Yeah, I found it after she bumped her head underneath the computer. I tried to give it back to her but she said that she had to go home.”

“What was she doing underneath the computer?” he asked.

“She said that she dropped her bracelet so she was picking it up, I guess her wallet fell out of her pocket.” The older minion extended his hand, “May I see it?”

Bob saw no harm in letting Kevin see it, he nodded as he handed the wallet over. The taller minion opened it up, inside was money and credit cards, a photograph but then something else caught his eye. Inside was an id but it wasn’t just any normal id, it was a military issued id. It all started to make sense, she wasn’t interested in romance, heck her master probably wasn’t even a fan of their boss. They were after information and probably the strange virus had something to do with that. Kevin immediately pulled up a search, trying to see if any files had been corrupted or erased by the virus. Then sure enough fragments of data did pull up, the virus had erased something but not before the computer showed that this data had been transferred to an outside source. Bob watched as Kevin worked, a little confused, “Kevin, what’s wrong?”

“I’ve got to take care of something but first, I think it’s best if I return this wallet to our new little friend…I’m sure she’s worried about where it could be by now.” Kevin had a plan although he needed to get a few things before returning the wallet to this little Misery.

About a half hour later, Misery was a little apprehensive, this project was finally going to pay off despite the setbacks. To think that soon her and her children wouldn’t be the only minions anymore and there would be more of them being mass produced. After all this time things were looking up but then a loud knocking could be heard, “Now who could that be?” She answered the door only to be staring face to face with Kevin. It took a few seconds for her to find the words to speak, “Kevin…wow, what are you doing here at my house? How did you even find my house?”

He pulled out the wallet from his side pocket, “Forgot at boss house, Kevin wanted to bring back to you.”

“Oh, my wallet, I didn’t even notice it was gone, thank you.” Quickly grabbing it, she tried to close the door but Kevin pushed it open, “Can Kevin come in?”

“I’m sorry but now is not a good time you see the…the washer machine broke down, I had to call a repair man and my master isn’t here now so I need to make sure that the repair guy shows up and fixes it.”

“Kevin good with machines, can try to fix.”

“Oh no, that’s alright, if you did that and he showed up, I would feel so bad because he would have wasted his time and they work so hard and-.”

“Kevin doesn’t mind.” And with that, he barged into the house. Misery was in a panic, it was bad enough that he was here but considering what she had done a half hour earlier, things couldn’t be worse. “Where washer machine at?”

“Kevin please, this really isn’t a good time right now, how about I just make you something to drink instead.” She pushed him onto the couch, “Stay there, I’ll be right back!”

Kevin watched as she headed to the kitchen then he looked over at Jacob, this human looked a little like Henry but younger. “Where bathroom?” he asked. Jacob shot him a funny look, “Around the corner, down the hall on your left.”

Kevin followed the instructions but in reality he was looking for a computer, after all they had to have one considering what he suspected that they stole. He did pass by another entrance way where he could see one but to his dismay, another female minion was on it. Kevin snuck past this strange minion but then noticed that there were two doors on the left. He opened one which sure enough was a bathroom but the second caught his attention. Following his instincts, he opened the second to reveal that it led to a basement. The small flight of stairs led him down to what appeared to be a washer and dryer but that wasn’t what caught his attention. On the far left was all kinds of paperwork, documents, and blueprints that were tacked to the wall. These documents had the government seal on them, his suspicions were confirmed.

“The hell are you doing down here?”

He turned around to see a strange male minion who was then followed by the other female from earlier. Kevin glared at the two, “What all of this?” Nica decided to try and calm the situation, “Listen, it’s kind of hard to explain in fact I’m not sure how much of it you understand but-.”

“What is this?” Kevin demanded.

“It’s like they say, pal, that info is classified!” Kiba retorted.

Misery came down the steps this time, “Kevin, I thought I told you…”, she was quiet when she realized that now he knew.

“What is going on, what does master want?”

“Kevin, please, I don’t think you would understand even if I told you.” The tall minion turned back to this wall, he didn’t care, “Want answers now, who are you?’

“We could tell you…”

Then suddenly Kevin felt a sharp pain in his neck and his whole world went black, the minion laid helpless on the ground with a syringe landing right next to him. “But it’s just easier if we don’t!” Misery then turned to her kids, “Kiba, get some rope from the garage. Nica, tell Jacob that he’s gonna have to drive us to the base.”

“Awesome, we gonna kill the pig?” Kiba laughed.

“No, we’re not going to kill him, now get the rope!”

“But Mom”, Nica explained, “Jacob doesn’t have a valid license anymore?”

“We don’t have a choice, mija. Master Henry did point out that those files were encrypted, right? Looks like we have a way to decode them now.”
